Get Your Advanced Digital Educator Certification

Step 1

Successfully complete the Microsoft Teaching with Technology professional development course and pass the Microsoft Certified Educator exam.

Step 2

To receive 3 graduate credit hours for EDLD 5302 Concepts of Educational Technology, apply at Lamar University.

Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities previously attended. Students who have obtained degrees from colleges or universities outside of the U.S. are required to submit an official report of course-by-course evaluated transcripts of all secondary and post-secondary work to Lamar University directly from the evaluating agency. To qualify for graduate credit, your degree must be equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university. 

International applicants are required to provide proof of English language proficiency through scores on the TOEFL or IELTS. This testing requirement is waived only for applicants who have completed at least two consecutive years of study at a college or university in the U.S. or in an English proficiency-exempt country. Scores are valid for two years, and must be received directly from the testing agency.*

Step 3

Demonstrate what you learned in Microsoft Teaching with Technology course to earn 3 more credit hours for EDLD 5303 Applying Educational Technology Portfolio. Submit a digital portfolio documenting your implementation of concepts of the Microsoft Teaching with Technology course with at least 3 technology-integrated lessons and receive a Lamar University Digital Educator Certificate. 

Step 4

Complete 2 online courses (EDLD 5304 Leading Organizational Change and EDLD 5305 Disruptive Innovation in Education) to get your Lamar University Advanced Digital Educator Certificate
