Portfolio Criteria and Requirements

Lamar University is privileged to provide you with the opportunity to earn three hours of graduate credit. Obtaining the graduate credits requires that you prepare and submit a portfolio that demonstrates mastery of the learning outcomes for the course EDLD 5302 Concepts of Educational Technology or EDLD 5303 Applying Educational Technology Portfolio (Masters Level). You may already have many of these evidence of learning online and ready to be embedded. To earn credit, you must meet the requirements in the applicable checklist.

This opportunity is designed to document your recognized competency as a digital educator within the established learning objectives outlined for the course. The portfolio you prepare helps document what you have done, what you are doing, and what you hope to do in the future. The preparation of this portfolio is done independently and is not part of a peer-learning community. You are encouraged to reach out to your professors ask questions or seek guidance. If you get stuck, don't become frustrated. Get in touch. We’re here to help.

The following instructions are designed to help you identify the required evidence of learning in the portfolio and prepare it for submission:

Overview: The ePortfolio (Wordpress, Google site, Weebly etc.)

The eportfolio you will prepare will consist of evidence of learning, which are stand-alone elements that address a learning outcome, and a presentation medium that connects those evidence of learning together for the evaluator. The eportfolio URL should be prepared and submitted electronically. The choice of medium for the eportfolio and the evidence of learning are completely up to you. In many cases, you may choose to use a mix of mediums and tools to create the eportfolio and your evidence of learning.

Some evidence of learning require you to provide a personal connection as evidence of your learning disposition. A personal connection is simply providing a reflection on your current and future knowledge and skills in digital leading and learning.

The eportfolio you present may be open, hidden, or have restricted access. If you choose to restrict public access, please ensure you communicate the address and/or passwords. You will also need to keep the eportfolio and evidence of learning online until the eportfolio has been assessed.
